Curves and Lines 1993 Tomoko Yamamoto

I had not looked at the original slide for a while and thought of this photograph as an Ilfochrome print I have. The Ilfochrome print lacks greenish tint in the top part of the photograph and it could be easily interpreted as a late fall shot. I shot this photograph in late April on Velvia. I struggled with the composition and exposures as I tried a curved trunk on the left in the center of the image and bracketed a lot to the extent that I had half a roll of Fujichrome 400D and half a roll of Velvia on this photograph. The image shown here is my new interpretation of this photograph. The painterly effect is due to focusing on the water surface and a bit of breeze and the river movement.
