I set up my tripod on a tiny island off the bank of Herring Run, thus facing the stream running away from me. The sun was hitting the fall colors on the trees downstream. Exposing for bright golden reflections in the water made the background very dark just like what one would get with a shot of glowing mountain rocks in the setting sun with exposure set on the glow. |
