Orange, Black, and Blue
Orange, Black, and Blue

Typical abstract photos are close up of nature or artificial patterns, often quite geometric. Sharp lines, circles, and curves in nature or man-made objects are depicted in them. My abstract photos are made through nature reflections in water. Rather than sharp mirror reflections, I prefer to get the effects of paint brushes by defocusing and/or deliberate exposure settings to capture blurred images. I feel one predominant color in an image seems to be effective although "Cubic Reflections" is an exception where the brush stroke is like that of cubism and no predominant color exists.

This gallery is a selection of 9 photographs of fall colors I have taken over the past 6 years. All the photographs were taken by a stream called Herring Run in the city of Baltimore, Maryland. If you are interested in more impressionistic images, please explore my main reflections gallery. You might be particularly interested in my 1997 images and 1999 panorama images. I have a generous return policy of 30-day money back guarantee, so please take advantage of it.
