Photo Description: A gondola, carrying a couple and rowed by a sandal-footed gondolier on an oriental rug is approaching the Rialto Bridge over the Grand Canal. The photo/foto/picture of this gondola ride depicts a rich palette of colors typical of Venice, Italy with the red façade of Hotel Rialto in the background and greenish navy-colored ripples in the foreground with red reflections spanning the Grand Canal and lighter reflections behind the gondola path on a summer day. The original was shot on the 120 film, Fuji Provia RDPIII, with a Mamiya 6 and a G50mm f/4 lens. The image has been cropped to bring out a side view of the gondola. The size of the digital file is about 130Mb, allowing big enlargements possible.
