| Description: A view of San Giorgio Maggiore (the church and the tower, or the Campanile) with the foreground of the San Marco Basin water, lit by the late afternoon sun and showing two silhouetted persons in front of the church. The church and the cloisters were designed by Andrea Palladio. This photo was shot during the photographer's second trip to Venice in 2002 from the vaporetto when she and her sister stayed overnight on the island of Giudecca. She has another shot of the church when she made a day trip to Venice from Montegrotto in May 2004.
